14 July

POET - multiple Group and Listed performer - battled hard in dire conditions to win The Steventon Stakes (L) at Newbury, after which his owners announced his well earned retirement to stud.

1 July

IZZI TOP made easy work of beating home a depleted field in heavy conditions at The Curragh to win the Pretty Polly St (GR1).

This was the 16th Group 1 win by Meon Valley Stud bred horses

Later the same day, Hippy Hippy Shake ran well and easily beat a mixed field to win the Goldring Security Services Maiden Stakes at Salisbury.  This followed her first outing  when she was just been beaten into second place

21 June

In soft conditions SHIROCCO STAR ran a galant race , trying to make all, in the Riddlesdale St (GR2) only to be beaten into third place in the closing stages.

14 June

Bilidn does it again, winning at Nottingham today makes it her 5th win this year

1 June

SHIROCCO STAR ran a fantastic race in the Epsom Oaks (Gr1) staying on well to finish second, a neck behind the winner (WAS).

On the day before at Newcastle Bilidn (Tiger Hill/Brightest Star) won her third race this year.

28 May

CASPAR NETSCHER (Bella Cantata/Dutch Art) romped home to win a very good running of the
Mehl-Mulherns-Rennen Group 2 German 2000 Guineas race in Cologne.

In 2012 to date Meon Valley Stud have bred 9 winners  of 16 races including 5 Stakes winners

24 May

COQUET (One So Marvellous/Sir Percy) made it three wins from her last three start by nicely winning the Height of Fashion Stakes Listed race at Goodwood.
Her next target is hopefully the Epsom Oaks.

18 May

Just a day after IZZI TOP's convincing York win, Hyperspectra's offspring Media Hype and Troopingthecolour were the first two home in the Dante Meeting Handicap - Stakes
What made this even more memorable was the fact that just two hours earlier Hyperspectra's granddaughter SHIROCCO STAR was just touched off in the Listed Swettenham Stud Fillies Trial Stakes at Newbury (coincidentally won by IZZI TOP last year!)

17 May

IZZI TOP saw off a strong challenge from Sajjhaa, ridden by Frankie Dettori, inside the final furlong to win the Group 2 Betfred Middleton Stakes at York.
A Group 1 race is most probably her next target.

IZZI TOP's victory in the Group 3 Dahlia Stakes at Newmarket marked another significant milestone for her third dam Reprocolor (one of the foundation mares of the Stud) it being her descendants' 50th Pattern Win.
Last years Group Winners CASPAR NETSCHER and LYRIC OF LIGHT, who both ran in the Guineas at Newmarket on Saturday and Sunday are also descendants of Reprocolor.

21 April

Saturday saw the Stud's first Group Win of 2012 when CASPAR NETSCHER won the Group 3 AON Greenham Stakes at Newbury with relative ease in sticky conditions.

It was also the 80th Stakes win for descendants of Reprocolor following the success of Polish Knight (son of Polish Princess) in the Group 2 Tulloch Stakes in Australia.  He was subsequently second in the Australian Derby.
Polish Princess's dam, Repeat Warning, was also the dam of Suez (just beaten by short head in the Cheveley Park St Group 1) who herself is the dam of Lyric of Light - winner of the Fillies Mile.

Meon Valley Stud has bred the winners of 9 races in England so far this season.
